Choctaw Chamber President Selected for OCCE Leadership Award
Statewide Chamber Executives organization recognizes Tracy Mosley for her chamber leadership
Oklahoma City- The Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives honored Tracy Mosley, Executive Director of the Choctaw Chamber of Commerce, with the 2010 Executive Leadership Award this week.
Mosley received this award at the organization’s annual meeting Nov 3-5 in Oklahoma City. The Executive Leadership Award recognizes exceptional accomplishments of chamber professionals who have been in a paid chamber leadership role for three years or less.
“Under her leadership at the Choctaw Chamber, Tracy has a proven membership retention and growth track record. Her positive attitude is infectious throughout the Chamber, Choctaw community and the Chamber profession,” said Charity O’Donnell, 2010 OCCE Awards Committee Chair. “The Choctaw Chamber’s auction raises more funds than any other statewide chamber auction. It is because of this fundraising example that several of her chamber peers nominated her for this award.”
To honor Mosley, several leaders of the chamber board and staff, as well as her family, made a surprise appearance at the Awards Dinner as the announcement was made. “The change over the past three years in the Choctaw Chamber has been both dramatic and positive,” said Choctaw Mayor Randy Moss. “During this period the chamber has increased membership annually, developed a systemic structure in the organization and become a visible representative of businesses in our community.”
The Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives (OCCE) is a statewide organization for chamber professionals (CEO’s and staff) dedicated to the development of its members and to the chamber of commerce profession throughout Oklahoma. The Executive of the Year award is the highest award given to an Oklahoma Chamber professional currently employed in the profession.
