
Grove Chamber President to Lead Statewide Chamber of Commerce Executives Organization

Oklahoma City – Lisa Friden, president of the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, was elected to serve as the 2012 president of the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives (OCCE).
No stranger to the chamber world, Friden has been president of the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce for the past seven years and in the chamber profession for the last 15 years. She was also named the OCCE chamber executive of the year in 2010. “I am thrilled to have been given this opportunity to serve in this leadership role for OCCE,” said Friden. “I am looking forward to working with the rest of the board to continue to ensure that this organization strives to reach new heights.”
Friden has volunteered in a variety of capacities with the organization and has played a vital role in continuing to elevate the Chamber Management Institute (CMI) program as co-chair for the last several years. Friden is also an active member of the scholarship committee.
Other officers include Tracy Mosley, Choctaw Chamber of Commerce, serving as president-elect; Debra Burch, IOM, Lawton/Ft. Sill Chamber, serving as secretary; and Sue Harris, IOM, Muskogee Chamber of Commerce as past president.
Other board members include Della Wilson, Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce; Kim Brown, Newcastle Chamber of Commerce; Becky Julian, Mustang Chamber of Commerce; Jeff Warmuth, Ada Chamber of Commerce, Suzanne Shirey, Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce; Karen Wages, Poteau Chamber of Commerce; and Ken Moore, CCE, Edmond Chamber of Commerce.
Ex-officio members of the board include John Gonzales, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Fred Morgan, The State Chamber. Danna Fowble, IOM, CCM, Vice President of Federation/Grassroots Development for The State Chamber, serves as the organization’s executive vice president.
