OCCE Names Mike Neal Executive of the Year

Statewide Chamber Executives organization recognizes Tulsa Metro Chamber President

Oklahoma City- The Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives named Tulsa Metro Chamber President Mike Neal the 2010 Executive of the Year at their annual meeting this week.
Neal, CCE, CCD, was recognized with this distinguished honor because of his leadership not only at the Tulsa Metro Chamber, but also statewide.
“Under Mike’s Leadership, the Tulsa  Metro Chamber has created a dynamic member-focused chamber and has been recognized for this nationally more than once by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives Association (ACCE).  Tulsa’s regional community and chamber partnership, known as One Voice, has been strengthened under his leadership and truly represents an outstanding legislative advocacy voice for the northeast region of Oklahoma,” said Charity O’Donnell, 2010 OCCE Awards Committee Chair. “The committee and I applaud his efforts and are pleased to recognize him with this award.”
To honor Neal, several leaders of the chamber board and staff made a surprise appearance at the OCCE awards dinner Nov. 4 as the announcement was made.
The Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives (OCCE) is a statewide organization for chamber professionals (CEO’s and staff) dedicated to the development of its members and to the chamber of commerce profession throughout Oklahoma. The Executive of the Year award is the highest award given to an Oklahoma Chamber professional currently employed in the profession.
